Outcome and audience

For Owners and Admins responsible for source health and offboarding.

Before you begin

The workspace and membership must be active, and the role must permit the intended connection action.

Where to go

Open Data sources under Workspace and choose a specific connection.

Complete the workflow

Keep the selected workspace, provider, period, currency, cost basis, and data-through date visible as you work.

  1. Review provider, safe source identity, status, and latest completed date.
  2. Run Test connection when validating access; use Run cost sync or Retry cost sync only when permitted.
  3. Rotate access through the connection action without reusing an old secret.
  4. Revoke the PruneFox connection, then revoke the provider credential.
  5. Confirm no new cost sync starts while historical authorized views follow the workspace retention policy.

Interpret the result

Revoked stops future access. It does not silently erase previously imported, retained financial history.

Loading, empty, partial, and unavailable states

Loading preserves the current scope. Empty means no records match the authorized scope. Partial or stale data keeps its completed-through boundary visible. Unavailable or permission-denied states explain the missing prerequisite and never substitute zero or another provider.

Provider differences

Each provider has different identity, rotation, correction, and delivery behavior; use its canonical guide.

Synthetic example

Illustrative example · synthetic data Example: Northstar Labs rotates one Datadog reporting credential, tests the organization identity, then confirms the completed-through date continues from the existing connection.

Common mistakes

Do not paste a replacement secret into support, assume disabling the UI revokes provider access, or retry repeatedly while the source is still provisional.
